We are definitely looking for British Harper’s Bazaar when visiting our local newsstand. After all, the magazine is always serving up solid and confident issues. Cover stars of late have included everyone from Victoria Beckham to Lupita Nyong’o and Lily-Rose Depp to Priyanka Chopra. Lydia Slater, who has served as UK Harper’s Bazaar editor-in-chief since 2020, welcomes Florence Pugh onto the cover of the magazine for May 2025. The English actress makes her British Bazaar cover debut via the lens of photographer Erik Madigan Heck. Against a vivid orange backdrop, Pugh is styled by cover shoot stylist Miranda Almond in a voluminous pink creation from Chemena Kamali’s sophomore Chloé Spring 2025 collection.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“She looks miserable, but who can blame her?” asked blueorchid immediately upon checking out the cover.
“What is the point of the fabric having so much movement while Florence Pugh just stands there, giving absolutely nothing?” chimed in a dumbfounded VanillaCrush.
“Like they had 15 minutes with her and just took one test image,” Kite critiqued.
Proseccotabis commented: “The styling is atrocious!”
Yet not everyone was so disappointed. “This is genuinely a sight for sore eyes, after what has felt like an eternity of dull and dreary fashion magazine covers. Those juicy colors just command your attention (even though I am not a fan of the cover image itself),” reasoned vogue28.
“A beautiful cover with alluring colors. Pugh looks really good,” MModa admired.
